HackerNew Chrome extension makes Hacker News not suck

Sometime this year, I learned about HackerNew, a Chrome extension that alters the design and functionality of Hacker News. It’s hard to describe how much better of a user experience it is than the traditional Hacker News. If you like Hacker News and use Chrome as your primary browser, I highly recommend it.

I’ve never even considered going back to the standard Hacker News layout.

It’s an open source project on Github, started by Tom Moor, the co-founder of Buffer App. The full feature set is on the Github profile page, but the big positives are endless scrolling (one of the rare cases I enjoy such a feature), a cleaner color scheme, inline replies, and some damn white space.

It’s in theĀ Chrome app store.
