Maybe I’m way behind the times, but tonight is the first time I noticed Google asking me to +1 visited links in my search results.
For example, I spent some time on a page after a search result, and when I clicked back to the search result, I got the following screen shot:
I’ve never noticed it before, and I was curious if this is a new feature in search. It seems to only show up periodically.
I kept clicking around, and made some other familiar searches. For a link I’d visited before, I got the following nudge by Google to +1 a result:
This is all on Chrome, of course. Has this been around a while, or did I stumble across a new (if predictable) part of Google’s +1 utility?
It seems pretty new to me (last few days?), and I believe it is only Chrome. They already seem to know too much about me already, and they are getting creepy like facebook.
Yeah, I’ve pretty much settled on the fact that Google knows everything about me. I’m a lost cause.
