Is this new? Google is asking me to +1 visited search results

Maybe I’m way behind the times, but tonight is the first time I noticed Google asking me to +1 visited links in my search results.

For example, I spent some time on a page after a search result, and when I clicked back to the search result, I got the following screen shot:

I’ve never noticed it before, and I was curious if this is a new feature in search. It seems to only show up periodically.

I kept clicking around, and made some other familiar searches. For a link I’d visited before, I got the following nudge by Google to +1 a result:

This is all on Chrome, of course. Has this been around a while, or did I stumble across a new (if predictable) part of Google’s +1 utility?

  1. It seems pretty new to me (last few days?), and I believe it is only Chrome. They already seem to know too much about me already, and they are getting creepy like facebook.
