Welcome to Gutenberg

The process of designing a new editor is going to be the biggest user-facing change WordPress has made in many years.

Matt Mullenweg previewed the editor at WordCamp Europe, and announced its availability on the WordPress plugin directory, meaning it’s now simple for anyone to install and test it.

I would highly recommend you check it out, if you haven’t already. It’s an early “beta” — and maybe alpha would be more appropriate — but this will be the future of editing content in WordPress. It’s a great time to get involved.

You can follow along on GitHub, add your own feedback, and all that fun stuff too.

This post, of course, was written using Gutenberg. While my first impressions are good, there’s definitely work to do.

I told Matt I’d start drafting all new posts in Gutenberg, so I should have plenty of my own feedback in the coming weeks.
